Star Trek :
TNG, DS9, Voyager |
I'm not a fan of the original Star Trek, but I do like the other
3. The Next Generation and Deep Space 9 are both repeating on BBC2 (usually
at 6pm Wed, and 6pm Thursday respectively), and Voyager is usually on
during the Sunday (but, to my annoyance, is usually cancelled due to
sport) around the 6 - 7pm time. The latest news on the episodes of any
of the series can be found on the links to the webpages.
Latest News: Voyager crew may be losing their captain.... Favourite characters: TNG: Riker DS9: Quark Voyager: The Doc or Tom Paris |

Red Dwarf | This is probably the most successful sci-fi comedy
series ever. Having just finished series 8 with "The End? Not smegging
likely" we can certainly look forward to series 9. If you've never
actually watched Red Dwarf then you're quite insane......
Favourite character: Lister |

Blackadder | Another superb brittish comedy series, each series being set
in a different time era. My personal favourite is the WW2 series. Even
though we can only watch repeats now, it can still get you laughing.
Favourite character: Baldrick |

Drop the Dead Donkey | Finished now, but hopefully we can look forward to the repeats
sometime soon. This comedy show was set around a newscasting station
(which would deal with the actual events happening within the week)
with a whole load of quirky characters. Very funny.

Babylon 5 | Yet another good sci-fi series come
to an end. Probably the next best series to Star Trek, if not better
(shock horror) that has a very good plot, and the special effects are
very well done. Each episode of B5 is designed (in my opinion) to build
up each character, so that the viewer can get the idea of what they're
like, and a plot slowly evolves during the episodes. My favourite episode
is with the two construction workers working throughout the station
(while it's under threat) discussing and bumping into the main characters
of the series, a top episode....
Favourite character: De'lenn (not sure on spelling) |

The Last Train |
Sorry, it's yet another program that has finished. Basically the plot behind this was that there was a meteorite heading for Earth, it hit, lots of people died, except for a few, in particular a group of people in a train. Well, basically they get cryogenically frozen, and wake up quite a few years later and try and work their way to a possible military bunker, etc, etc. It'll probably get repeated sometime in the future, just make sure you watch it as it's pretty good. Favourite character: None really...... |
