Pete Tong A radio 1 dance DJ that I've listened to for the last 10 or so years. He still works at radio 1, and you can listen to him on Friday nights from 6pm - 9pm (there's quite often guest DJs, and that was how I discovered Paul Oakenfold).

Paul Oakenfold Another DJ that I listen to a lot. His album "Fluoro" is probably the best one I've ever heard (it mixes dance with some classical music). Check out the link to find out more.

The Orb An ambient group that first had a success with "Little Fluffy Clouds" and then with "Perpetual Dawn" and "Asylum". Find out more info from the links.

The Future Sound of London (FSOL) Another ambient band. Their hits have been "Papua new Guinea", "Lifeforms" and "We have explosive".

The Propellerheads A superb band that I've discovered just recently. They made the intro music to the Bond movie "Tomorrow never dies", and their other hits are "Take California" and "History Repeating" (with Shirley Bassey).

The Prodigy I've listened to the Prodigy since they had their first hit with "Charlie", and I'm sure everyone has heard the tracks "Firestarter" and "Breathe".

Leftfield Everyone has probably heard a Leftfield track without knowing it, as they're quite often used as background music in films and on TV. They have just the one album ("Leftism") out that I know of, and I believe that they've been mixing some dance lately (don't quote me on that).

Chicane I first heard about this band when the graffiti "chicane" started appearing over Edinburgh and I finally found out what it was all about. Well, it turned out to be a great dance band and shortly after they got into the charts with "Offshore".

The Mission They've been around for quite a while, and a hit that people might remember is "Tower of Strength", which appeared around the early 80s. The music could almost be classed as 'gothic', and you'd have to listen to them to see what I mean.

Queen Everyone should have heard of Queen. Need I say that they're a great band?
